Haynes Electronics Service Policy :

Haynes Electronics considers it a priviledge to service your electronic equipment. Our goal is to provide quality service at a reasonable price.
Haynes Electronics is open several days a week - see our schedule on the first page. Or, you can always send me an email describing your item and its problem. Please include the brand and model number. I can meet you at the shop most weekdays for repair check-in or pickup.
The following paragraphs will explain our service policy.
In-Warranty :
We are a warranty service center for the following brands. Note that the companies require you to provide us with a copy of the bill of sale as proof of purchase.
Musician's Equipment :
FENDER : We are a warranty station for Fender musical instrument and PA amplifiers. Note that Fender does not pay for return shipping - we can charge this amount to your credit card or ship COD.
PEAVEY : Peavey is a leading producer of products for musicians. We are proud to represent Peavey as an authorized servicer.
KUSTOM : We are a Kustom warranty station. Kustom has a full line of affordable guitar, keyboard, and PA amplifiers.
YAMAHA : We have a service account with Yamaha and honor their warranty on musical instrument products. Note that mass-market keyboards and drum products, such as the PSR and DD series, do not have a repair warranty. We can repair them economically after the return warranty expires. PSR and DD products that are bought from a Music Store ARE covered by the standard warranty.
We do work on Yamaha home stereo equipment, but not under the terms of the warranty.
KORG : Haynes Electronics has been appointed a KORG authorized servicer. We can service your Korg keyboard and amplifier products as well as Marshall and VOX amplifiers - these are also Korg brands.
MARSHALL : See Korg above.
VOX : See Korg above.
CRATE : We no longer repair Crate amplifiers under warranty, although we continue to provide out-of-warranty service.
Television :
SONY : We service Sony televisions under warranty, but only on a carry-in basis, i.e., I am not able to perform in-home service.
FUNAI : We service the various Funai televisions, including most (but not necessarily all) models of Emerson, Sylvania, and Symphonic brands. Look at the label on the back - If it is a Funai TV, it will have Funai written in small print under the model number.
ORION : We service the various Orion televisions, including most (but not necessarily all) models of Sansui and ILO brands. Look at the label on the back - If it is an Orion TV, it will have Orion written in small print under the model number.
Non-Warranty :
We require a small deposit to be left with your unit. This deposit is applied to the total cost of your repair, and covers the expense of check-out if for some reason a unit is deemed unrepairable or if the repair cost would be excessive. Details are posted below.
We provide an initial "typical" estimate of typical repair costs for all units brought to us. If we see that the cost of your repair will exceed our initial estimate we will contact you before continuing further. If you decline the new estimate, the check-out fee has already been paid.
We are not able to give an estimate other than the typical range of charges unless the repair exceeds this range.

Please include a $20 deposit as explained above. Also include a thorough description of the problem and return shipping information. Don't forget to write down the return shipping address and your email address.If the item is covered by a warranty (see above) be sure to include a copy of the bill of sale ! Email us if you have any questions.

We can provide good service on the LCD brands listed at the top of this page. Other brands are "maybe" due to parts availability and technical support issues. |

VCRs & DVD player/recorders are no longer considered repairable. |

| Amps and mixers vary greatly in complexity and price. We can quote a "typical" repair cost on a case-by-case basis.
Note that some brands, such as Behringer and Yorktown, do not provide sufficient support for us to repair their products. |
